As an Operational Buyer at SODAQ, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the flow of goods and finances within our organization. Working closely with our Sales team, you'll convert demand into purchase orders and be in direct contact with the suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.. Additionally, you'll oversee data management, assist in ERP system development, and proactively optimize processes. Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing data and creating purchase orders accurately.
  • Ensuring OTIF deliveries by coordinating with suppliers.
  • Establishing clear communication channels with our suppliers.
  • Regularly reviewing and analyzing demand forecasts.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of our ERP system.
  • Addressing challenges posed by unpredictable suppliers while ensuring accountability.
  • Proactively working to optimize processes and maintaining a professional approach when dealing with suppliers.

Our Purchase team, under the guidance of the CFO, plays a pivotal role in our supply chain excellence. Led by the Head of Supply Chain, the team works closely with Logistics and Procurement, each currently composed of one dedicated colleague. As SODAQ continues to expand in the coming years, so too will our teams, offering exciting opportunities for growth and development.

Who you are

To excel in this role, we're looking for candidates who bring:

  • Experience with ERP systems, actively participating in their implementation or configuration.
  • Familiarity with the intricate dynamics of a supplier triangle (supplier, manufacturer, customer).
  • Currently living in The Netherlands and in possession of a valid work permit
  • An educational background equivalent to HBO (Higher Vocational Education) at a minimum; MBO-4 education may be considered with the right experience and a quick-thinking mindset.
  • A strong command of both spoken and written English.
  • The ability to proactively drive initiatives, maintain precision, and professionally manage resistance.
  • A proactive, ownership-driven attitude paired with meticulous attention to detail.
  • A track record of completing NEVI 1 is a definite advantage.
