Service Engineer Greenhouses (FR) bij Hoogendoorn

Vlaardingen   Fulltime   2.600 - 5.839 Laat je gegevens achter What you will be doing

As a Service Engineer, you will train and support our partners and customers worldwide. You will be responsible for the installation, preparation, and commissioning of our systems. This can be done remotely or by traveling to the customer. With your knowledge and service, our customers can grow their flowers or food without worries. You will also be part of the service desk and be on standby duty every 6 to 8 weeks. If you already have more experience in horticulture engineering, exciting projects await you.

Your tasks include:

  • Supporting partners, customers, and sales colleagues in the engineering of automation projects;
  • Commissioning systems with our partners worldwide, approximately 5 times a year, and providing user instruction;
  • Performing software updates within the Benelux region;
  • Gathering customer wishes and ideas, and actively contributing to the further development and expansion of our products.
Where you end up

Hoogendoorn Growth Management was founded in 1967 as a small technical installation company. In 1974, we introduced our very first digital horticultural computer, the TUCO. Since then, we have grown into a global innovator in horticultural automation. Hoogendoorn has produced the most advanced process computers contributing to sustainable water, climate, and energy management. With a partner network spread across every continent, our trained specialists support all customers with expert product advice, training, and service.

We highly value the new knowledge that new colleagues bring. At Hoogendoorn, every voice counts, and we truly work together. The average tenure of our employees currently stands at 8 years, something we are incredibly proud of! How do we sustain this? We believe that the service we provide to customers should also be extended to our employees. We do this by organizing activities for staff, offering fresh fruit, and providing a comprehensive lunch for a small fee. We also offer a lot of flexibility in terms of organizing your day and tasks. We believe in you, and you know best how you perform, whether it's every day in the office or partly from home.

Who you are

As a Service Engineer, it's important that you have a hands-on mentality and enjoy taking action. No challenge is too big for you, and if you don't know something, you liaise with various departments in the office to find the answer. You also recognize yourself in the following:

  • You have experience or affinity with the installation of all technical installations and automation within greenhouse horticulture;
  • You have a higher professional education (HBO) level of work or thinking, preferably with a diploma in Measurement and Control Technology, Mechatronics, Automation (electro)technology, or similar. If you have a vocational (MBO) level 4 diploma in a similar field, we'd also like to hear from you;
  • You are proficient in both French and English, both spoken and written;
  • You are analytical, communicative, solution-oriented, result-oriented, stress-resistant, and, of course, customer-oriented.
What we offer

In addition to a challenging job, we also offer you a place where you can develop yourself. Whether it's in your own field or if you want to make a completely different switch in the future, we're happy to explore the possibilities within Hoogendoorn with you. In addition, we offer you the following:

  • A salary between €2600 and €5839 per month based on a full-time workweek;
  • You will work in a close-knit team where everyone is seen and heard;
  • A travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer driven;
  • A canteen full of fresh products, so you can enjoy a delicious lunch for a small amount;
  • Fresh fruit twice a week in the office;
  • Holiday pay of 8% of your gross annual salary;
  • 25 vacation days for a full-time position (40 hours);
  • A laptop, mobile phone, and, when you can be deployed on projects, a lease car;
  • A good pension scheme, of which we pay 50% of the premium for you.
